What do I need?
A Philips Hue Bridge with an entertainment area (set it up in the Hue app under Settings → Entertainment areas), or a Home Assistant server. Your phone, tablet or Mac must be on the same network. With no lights at all, Settings → Send to → Preview shows the show on screen.
Managing your subscription
- iPhone, iPad, Mac: in LightSync, open Settings → Manage subscription, or go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: in LightSync, open Settings → Manage subscription, or go to Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions.
Cancelling keeps LightSync Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. On a new device, tap Restore purchases.
Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (from your order history).
Common problems
- Hue pairing fails. Make sure the device is on the same Wi-Fi as the bridge, tap Pair, then press the round button on the bridge within 30 seconds. On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network access for LightSync in Settings.
- "Couldn't open the Hue entertainment stream". Only one app can stream to an area at a time. Close Hue Sync or any other light-sync app, or restart the bridge.
- "No sound on the input". Check the input and channel in LightSync's Settings, and that LightSync is allowed to use the microphone.
- Lights land before or after the kick. Adjust Light delay: raise it if the lights are late, lower it if they're early.
- Lights run at half or double speed. Press ½× or 2×.
Flashing lights
The strobe and fast effects flash the lights. Fast flashing can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Only use them when everyone in the room is comfortable with it.
